It was an exceptional story. I just finished it on last Thursday.
Jessica went to the island of Maui to co lecture with a retired police office who taught her the various cultures of the island. However, it spurred me to learn some of the Hawaiian words as well. Eventually to the point of visiting to local library and Internet seeking additional information about the island.

The story was indeed mysterious involving murder, romance, infidelity yet nightmares for the young witness.

Great job for the late Donald Bain.

Hook, Line, & Murder. Bk#46

The USA Today bestselling Murder, She Wrote mystery series continues as Jessica Fletcher takes a relaxing getaway that turns into a reel deadly situation...

Jessica enters a fly fishing competition at a nearby lake. Joining her is the sheriff’s wife, Maureen Metzger, who surprises Jess with her enthusiasm for the sport. Their guide, however, is a surprise to both...

Brian Kinney is an ex-con. Jailed as an accomplice to Darryl Jepson, a convicted killer, Brian was later exonerated, but not before spending seven years behind bars. He seems like a decent enough fellow. Just a man trying to rebuild his life as a family man and fishing guide.

Yet when Jepson breaks out of prison vowing revenge, and the lawyer for both men is found murdered, Cabot Cove becomes the focus of the nation as local, state, and federal authorities descend on Jessica’s home town. And to add to the tension, Maureen has gone missing. Is she lost or is she a hostage? Jess soon finds herself caught in a net full of lies, deceit and ulterior motives. In order to save her friend, she’ll need to find some answers by hook or by crook. (Goodreads.com)...back of the book...
review

This is indeed one of the "authors" best novel that I have read; that is, this series. My intent was to read a chapter a day making it 27 days but I could not put it down.

The story was riveting. After work I just had to get home to finish it.the plot had suspense, intrigue, drama yet romance. Lol

It is indeed a good read.

Mystery Reads

Another great book by the authors Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain.
 'A Palette for Murder'

Jessica is off to the the Hamptons to a much needed vacation or is it to indulge in a secret passion? Art? But of course murder and mystery follows her. Or her most adorable character trait, curiosity. A seemingly young art model drops dead during class; natural causes? Ridiculous. Of course, Jessica is on the trail. Of her killer. This case leads to more deaths, killers, art thieves, and poison.

Artist or Writer? This is one determined sleuth.
“Set a stoot hert
To a stey bare.”
A Scottish saying meanings the harder the task, the more determination is needed.
